Phagun is the most exciting, colorful, and tolerant month of the year. The colour festival HOLI / DOL has a special place in Visva-Bharathi, the Humane University in Santiniketan, created by the Gurudev Rabindra Nath Tagore. The Ganga Zuari Academy (a registered non-profit organization, www.gangazuari.org) now aims to bring the warmth of Tagore’s DOL to Goa.
This Goa-Bengal Academy had presented a new experiment of semi-classical and folk dance and sufi, multilingual songs of various hues by talented artists, many of them trained at Santiniketan. The Utsav was open to all.
