Marriage- Life’s fulfillment or impediment – By Khushi Chodankar, Age 20+, Student.

In today’s fast pacing world where everyone is stuck in the vicious cycle of rat races is perhaps why the question of Marriage being Life’s fulfillment or impediment came into being…

We humans are blessed with the gift of tremendous memory and absolute imagination and by default also come with various needs – be it physical, psychological, economical, emotional or social and inorder to fulfill these the very institution of marriage was set up that helped keep the holiness of the whole ordeal which otherwise would have had been no different from dogs on the streets

Apart from it, a human baby is born helpless compared to any other species of life and needs the maximum amount of care and support to grow into a functioning human being and to enable this a stable relationship between parent is required which is why marriages came into being

A person between the age of 18-35 years mostly tends to question the fundamentals of Marriage, with blood boiling with energy and brain seized by hormones body begins craving freedom and marriage along with the responsibility it brings start looking like shackles to the eye but the same person would appreciate the marriage their parents had.

Well, marriage may not be THE THING for you and incase you have found a better alternative you can always skip marriage…In the end if somebody doesn’t want to get into the ordeal should strictly not get married for the sake of it or because of the peer pressure or family’s melodrama as in the long run it will destroy the life of everyone involved.

Getting married without being sure of the other person and being prepared for the fresh life you will bring should be a crime as one shouldn’t think of divorce as a convenient way of getting away with marriage and its altogether a western idea.

On the contrary, one should be responsible for whatever happens and not giving a heed to what happens as long as yall choose to be a responsible human being…Marriage is a decision that is to be made responsibly.

The notion that marriage is all about love has to be wiped out as at the end of the day marriage is not just love but the promise to fulfill the needs of your partner and a huge amount of management as it includes not just two people but two families and one should be prepared to deal with everyone involved to endure a successful married life.

In the end I’d like to say that instead of thinking in black, white or grey everyone needs to learn how to play within their own sets of colours in the pallate and then they’d be able to paint the picture of pure marital bliss.
